Practical, Real World Job Skills For Young People
Job Readiness Program
A program that helps young people aged 14 to 18 move from “I don’t know where to start” to “I am ready to apply.” Every session produces real, usable materials they can take straight into a job application, while building something deeper: a clear understanding of themselves as workers and where they will genuinely thrive.
First block starting Term 3, 2026.
Run in person at our Albury clinic, with telehealth attendance available for those who can only join online.
What Is the Job Readiness Program?
The Job Readiness Program gives teenagers and young adults the practical tools to apply for work with confidence. Across two eight week blocks, students build a complete job application toolkit, one piece at a time, in weekly one hour sessions.
But this is about more than resumes and interview tips. The program helps young people understand themselves as workers by identifying their strengths, interests, communication styles, support needs, and the kinds of workplaces where they are most likely to do well. They leave not just with documents, but with a real sense of where they fit and how to get there.
Sessions are run in person at our Albury clinic. If a young person can only attend online, telehealth attendance is available so they can still take part fully from home.
Telehealth students will need their own device to join on and to write their resume and other materials during each session.
Every session is recorded, and all materials are added to a private client portal. Students can log back in any time to replay a session or pick up a document they were working on, so nothing is lost if they ever need to revisit something.
What Makes This Program Special?
Hands On Learning
One hour weekly sessions where students complete real, usable materials in every single class. Nothing is theoretical. They leave each week with something finished.
Self Discovery Focus
Students explore their strengths, interests, communication styles, and ideal work environments, so their applications reflect who they actually are.
Real World Skills
We support young people to understand themselves as workers and to find the kinds of workplaces where they will thrive, not just survive.
Two eight week blocks · One hour per session · Ages 14 to 18 · Real materials every class · An exit point at the end of each block
What Young People Walk Away With
By the end of the program, students have a complete, personalised job application toolkit they can use straight away. That includes a finished resume, a customisable cover letter template, interview scripts and a STAR story bank, a thank you email template, an application tracker, and a clear picture of the workplaces and roles that suit them best.
Because there is an exit point at the end of each block, families can choose to do the first block on its own and still leave fully job application ready, or continue into the second block to make every document fit the young person even more closely.
$597 $397 per term
We are opening the Job Readiness Program with a Founders Round for our very first intake. The usual price is $597 per term, but everyone who joins this first group pays $397 per term, a saving of $200 each term. It is our way of thanking the families who back the program early and help us get it off the ground.
How the Program Works
Two blocks, sixteen weeks, with a natural finishing point at the end of each one.
Block 1: Get Job-Ready
Students build the core job application toolkit from the ground up.
Covers: knowing your skills and value, writing a resume, cover letters, interview basics, answering questions with the STAR method, and how to actually find and apply for jobs.
Leave with: a completed resume, a cover letter template, a STAR story bank, an interview checklist, and an application tracker.
Exit Point 1: Job Application Ready
The first natural finishing point. A student can stop here and walk away genuinely ready to apply for work, with every core document finished and a full job application toolkit in hand.
Block 2: Find Your Fit
The focus stays on getting the job, now through the lens of who the young person is, what they need, and where they will thrive.
Covers: connecting passions to real jobs, finding workplaces that fit, naming strengths and support needs in confident language, decoding job ads, requesting reasonable adjustments, references, and a full mock application.
Leave with: a personal job fit checklist, a needs statement, an accommodation request template, a reference request template, and a complete personalised career starter pack.
Exit Point 2: Ready, On Their Own Terms
The final finishing point. Students leave job application ready with materials built specifically for who they are, plus a written next step action plan and the confidence to use it.
