Occupational Therapy in Wagga Wagga

My Word Health supports Wagga Wagga children to build the skills they need for everyday life. From holding a pencil and tying shoelaces to managing big emotions and busy classrooms, occupational therapy helps kids do the things that matter at home, at school, and everywhere in between.

Wagga families access occupational therapy through our hybrid model. A qualified Occupational Therapist leads each session via telehealth, and our Key Worker at 67 Johnston Street provides hands-on support in the room. You don’t need a referral. Just get in touch and we’ll walk you through the rest.

Occupational Therapy in Wagga Wagga That's Practical, Playful, and Progress-Driven

At My Word Health, we’re passionate about supporting Wagga families with therapy that actually fits their child. Our experienced therapists work with you to set meaningful goals and celebrate small wins along the way, whether your child is just starting their therapy journey or building on what they’ve already achieved.

No two children are the same, so no two therapy plans are either. Our Occupational Therapists take time to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and personality, then co-create goals with families so support plans are meaningful, measurable, and genuinely fun. When a session feels like play, kids show up ready to learn.

And because skills need to work in real life, not just in the clinic, we share practical strategies you can use at home between sessions. Progress happens faster when everyone’s working from the same page.

How can occupational therapy help your child?

Learn how Occupational Therapy at our Wagga Wagga clinic can make a lasting difference. Our trusted therapists partner with local families to help children build confidence, strengthen emotional resilience, and gain the practical skills they need for everyday independence.

Builds Practical Everyday Skills

Occupational therapy helps children build the core skills they need for everyday independence. From using a pencil and tying shoelaces to opening lunchboxes or brushing teeth. These small skills make a big difference. Our therapists use fun, hands-on strategies to build strength, coordination, and confidence in each session.

When children struggle to express or manage their emotions, it can affect every part of their day. Occupational therapy provides safe, creative ways for children to understand big emotions and feel more in control. Whether your child needs help calming their body or navigating transitions, OT offers long-term tools for emotional wellbeing.

At My Word Health, we understand that no two children are the same. Our Occupational Therapists take time to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, and personality. We co-create therapy goals with families, building personalised support plans that are meaningful, measurable, and fun.

How Hybrid Occupational Therapy Works in Wagga Wagga

Regional families often wait a long time for paediatric OT. Our hybrid model is designed so Wagga kids can start building skills without that wait or a long drive.

A qualified Occupational Therapist joins each session live via telehealth. They guide the session, watch how your child moves, plays, and responds, and adjust goals as your child progresses.

In the room at Johnston Street, our Key Worker works alongside your child. They set up hands-on activities, keep your child engaged, and help put the therapist’s strategies into practice. Because our Key Worker also coordinates your child’s wider support, OT goals link up with any speech or other therapy your child receives instead of sitting in a separate silo.

For families on properties or in towns outside Wagga, sessions can also run at home, at school, or fully online.
